Hi Im looking at getting into racing a laser competitively but on a limited budget and was wondering would a clean 20 year old laser hull, mast and boom be competitive if it was given a new sail, rigging, rudder and dagger board? If not what is the oldest hull that could be competitive? Thanks for your help Steve

It depends if the old hull is watertight and whether or not it has delaminated or not...if the hull is spongey in parts its not a good sign but if its still in good nic there's no reason why it wouldn't be competitive.
